Hello everyone!
I’ve been busy as usual - I almost can’t believe that it’s already October WTFF??!!!
AUGUST/SEPTEMBER ROUNDUP
August was a month of rest and fun for me and in September I went back into institutionalised schooling to do my A Levels — eek! The college experience so far has been a lot better than secondary school, but of course there is still need for DELINQUENCY!
Also, in case you didn’t already know, I’m an actor! Excitingly, a Netflix film I have a small role in was released worldwide last month. Within the first week it actually got to number 2 on Netflix’s Most Watched/Trending List. If you are in the mood for a feel-good film featuring actually autistic actors, watch I Used To Be Famous.
I was really grateful to have the opportunity to showcase not just my acting skills in this film, but my singing too! Hear my cover of What A Wonderful World on the film’s soundtrack here (tbh this wasn’t my fav take because I am a perfectionist but oh well).
WRITING OF THE MONTH
This month on Patreon I shared a poem that I wrote this week. I’ll give you a taste with the first few lines…
rituals of the ritten word
smitten
with the sentence
execution
of the pen
the window to her pain
droplets
falling
with the
tension
of her fingertips
…
I am trying to get back into poetry as it’s something I adore doing — even though at the moment I mostly do non-fiction theoretical or critical essays my love for writing started through creative writing! In alignment with this poem, what writing or creative rituals can you engage with this month? (New workshop idea unlocked haha)
I do also want to share a quick post I made last month about how people can support me. I feel like it’s just helpful to have on my page, but in case you wanted to support my work further or get involved in what I’m up to see here.
In the near future, I’ll be sharing a quite heavy but necessary article/essay about child abuse and youth liberation so keep your eyes peeled for that.
UPCOMING: AGE-TRAUMA SUPPORT SPACE & TUESDAY TAKEOVER!!
I aimed to be re-launching my course Has Oppression Found a Home in You? this month, however, my schedule hasn’t settled down enough to make any concrete plans so I’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime, I’d love you to join me for the next iteration of Age-Trauma Support Space, which you can find out more about here. Our next session is the 16th October at 6pm BST. Whilst adults can subscribe from £10 per month, it is open to anyone of any ages for free if you don’t have the funds — nobody will be turned away!
ALSO, something happening next week which I’m really excited about is doing a Tuesday Takeover on Margeuax Feldman’s (@softcore_trauma) account. I’ve had to make memes for the takeover which I’ve never done before (LOL I know) so I hope they make sense! It would be really great if you could head over to Margeuax’s account on Tuesday 4th to engage with what I share <3
